Hello. Firstly I have to say thanks for that use-full thing.
I installed everything using for that the Easy-MOD and I haven't problems. I made up this account by following the instructions and changed the spell-gw.php file. The is, when I try to check the spell in a post, I gave that error

I don't know what to do or if I registered properly in the correct site or what. Please, explain what I have to do or what I'm doing bad.

What's up with that? I installed the app that came with EasyMod, I registered a name (this one), and when I click the Spell Check button, I simply get a small white pop-up box (that's probably supposed to be my spell-check box), empty except for the following text:

Ideas? I'd hate to go about uninstalling such a seemingly useful feature. Thanks. |

I've got the same problem. Installed with easymod with no problems, setup account info, edited file and am unable to reach host. Trying to troubleshoot a bit here, will post any results. Running Linux FC4 - phpBB 2.0.17 with easymod.

Got it figured out with a little hunting in my case. The problem for me was within SELinux configuration there's an option to allow network scripts to connect to the network from httpd that was turned off, anyone running Fedora Core 4 with SE Linux enabled will have this problem.
The firewall is enabled on my server: policy type is targeted, enforcing current is checked and HTTPD scripts to connect to the network were not allowed.
Where: Desktop > System Settings > Security Level > SELinux > httpd > HTTPD scripts to connect to the network was unchecked.
I checked it and it is working now.
Hope this helps out some of the rest of you.

I have no control over the server, so This does not provide a solution to my problem. I have seen this mod in action, and it is pretty powerful, and very nice.
I hope the support (or the community) has an answer for me, since I would really like to run this mod. |

the error I get is whilst running the spell-gw.php, it does not run, all it comes up with is :

You don't have permission to access the requested directory. There is either no index document or the directory is read-protected.

Is spell-gw.php in your forum directory?
like, if you have www.domain.com/forums for your forums, is your spell-gw.php at www.domain.com/forums/spell-gw.php ?
You also might have to CHMOD it. as the error said it might be read protected, you might have to ad permissions in order to read it. I don't know why you would, but you might. |

Rights assignment are fine, and since I do not slap myself silly with a trout every night I managed to put the spell-gw.php in the right path 
I also have a secondary problem, concerning the profiles. Getting parse errors now. I like the mod, looks great on the sites where I saw it, but I think I will have to wait and undo the mod until I have a web server that is under my controll. It seems like this mod needs some attention if something goes wrong, and more then some basic access, I do not have now.
So no spell check for me, till I get my fiber optic up link  |

One thing that might be accuring, like it did on my computer while installing it on my website a few days ago. My connnection was timeing out. and it was sitting at "100% uploaded" for a while, before actually finishing, what you might need to do is upload some backed up tpl. files and then re edit some .php files.
Check to see if the entire .tpl files are there. |
