I thought it would be a better idea to have the spelling checker inline with the browser window.
Sorta like the 'tip of the day' in IE under the help menu.
I'm sure this is possible using javascript, right?
I dunno, but I kinda hate popup windows. Maybe make it a preference setting. |

Can't do it for a couple reasons. My server is doing all the backend work and heavy lifting of processing every spell check, so you need to connect to my server. This really only works through the whole popup method. Most people probably can't/won't install the backend stuff anyway since it is a bit daunting and involves quite a bit of Unix configuration (assuming they even have a unix box!). By using my server, install is VERY easy and many people are likely to use it.

A XUL implementation for Gecko browsers would rock. But then this is going to far for too small an audience. |

I like the pop up. But it doesn't work with the google popup blocker, you will have to hold ctrl
And with opera you can't have block all popups on or it will block it (duh) _________________

I think it is a great way how you have it set up. Makes it easy for people to install, and any changes you make, everyone will automatically be updated.
A very genious idea IMHO |
