v1.6.0 - 3/13/05
Phase II complete! Now with v1.6.0 released, you can update your site to take advantage of setting the default language for your board, and also get a nice boost in the time it takes to load up the checker. There is also a kill switch to easily disable the auto checking if desired. The version does solve some connectivity problems a few sites experienced. It also includes a MOD to make the auto check option off by default.
Eventually everyone will be asked to update to this version. Updating is even easier than installing! All you must do is copy the new spell-gw.php file over the old one. That's it! It's easy, saves time, and will save resources, so go do it! [download]
I don't anticipate requiring another client-side update for a long time. Updates will be automatic on the SpellingCow end (server-side) for the foreseeable future. You won't need to lift a finger to get future benefits

I think he means, "how do you set the default language?" And it occurs to me now that I've not included clear instructions on how to do that! Edit the spell-gw.php file. Look for the line that contains...
| Code: | | define('DEFAULT_SPELL_LANG', 'EN_US') ; |
...the 'EN_US' part means, US English. What you should then do is find the language/dialect you want from this list...

...so, for instance, if you're from the UK, then you'd replace 'EN_US' with 'EN_GB'. Let me know if you have any problems!

So far so good, looks great. I had one problem but it was my fault, looks great.
One question I wasn't sure where do I go to sign in as admin? as was listing in your directions I must missed it somewhere.
