These are instructions for using Spelling Cow with the Profile Control Panel (PCP). It Doesn't matter which was installed first (PCP or Spelling Cow).
After each is installed, perform the following: - Go to the ACP
- Under P.C.P. heading click Map definition
- Make clicks in the following order: PCP -> profil -> profile_prefer -> PCP -> posting
- Click Edit button
- Click Add a new field button
- On Base definition screen, make the following changes:
- Field name: type in user_autospell
- Legend of the field: from drop down select Always_spellcheck
- Click Output label tab at the top and change the following:
- Click Input label tab at the top and change the following:
- Config name field: user_autospell
- Get mode: LIST_RADIO
- Default value: enter 1 or enter 0 if you want auto checking off to be the default.
- Values list: list_yes_no
- Press Submit button
- (on Edit a map screen) Press Submit button
To Verify: - Edit your profile
- Click the Profile tab on the top
- Click Profile Settings on the left-side navigation list
- Click Posting, again on the left-side
- Play with toggling Always check Spelling before posting, should work!

Nuttzy,
I tried the above as well, -no dice. I then handed it over to our PHP guy, -no dice. We followed your fix above exactly as instructed. No such option appears in the profile page to control the default behavior. Please advise. |

Just letting you know that I've not forgotten about you. I'm putting together a new release and will definitely make sure everything is working with PCP!

Hi Nuttzy,
been following this for a while and am now finalising my build of 2.0.15 with a modest but powerful set of mods including PCP and Adv.PM.
Just wondering what is the status of this part of the project.
,
Regards,
Will. |

Well, I used EasyMOD to install this. It's pretty easy. No trouble's what so ever. Just make a directory in the admin/mods directory and then put the lite version in there and delete or move the full version (if you don't want the full version, but if you do, then leave the damn file in there. ) to another file or something. Do not delete the spell_gw.php file.
That's pretty much the installation. No trouble at all. _________________ PHP Tuts and Templates
